There are two kinds of women in the world....wise and foolish. Either we are building our "house" or we are tearing it down. If you are married...your "house" consists of those who live in those four walls. If you are single...then your "house" encompasses those lives that you touch within your extended family.
Here are some questions to think about and pray about.
- Am I building up my house/home--workplace, church family....or tearing it down?
- Am I nuturing the heart of my marriage?
- Am I content to be at home and finding fulfillment in my role as wife +/or mother?
- Have I become a "refuge" for a man who may be struggling in his marriage?
- Is there anything about my dress, speech, actions, or attitudes that could defraud the men around me?
- Have I purposed in my heart to be morally pure? And am I making myself accountable to my husband and to another godly woman for my walk with God and others?
These thoughts were taken from the book "Biblical Womanhood in the Home" by Nancy Leigh DeMoss. I appreciate her thoughts and reminding me of the gift God gave me as a woman.
